Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
- Proven experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or critical care environment
- Strong knowledge of ICU protocols, patient monitoring, and life support systems
- Ability to perform complex assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Capable of handling high-stress situations with professionalism and empathy
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients according to established standards and protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs, conduct ongoing assessments, and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Operate and maintain life-support and monitoring equipment
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in medical records
- Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, and care plans as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment adhering to infection control and safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid RN licensure in Nebraska
- Completion of accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- ICU nursing experience or critical care training strongly preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate: $63.00 - $74.00
